Background Context

Recently the ambitious Trishna Gas Project was nodded yes by the National Wildlife Board. Trishna Gas Project is an initiative from Oil and Natural Gas corporation (ONGC) owned by Govt. of India. This Trishna Gas Project goes through Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary located in the Gomati district, state of Tripura. Research team form ONGC located 10-12 gas bearing wells in Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary.
